MUSIC SUPERVISOR
AND MUSIC CREATIVE

Eric’s unique background as an accomplished musician have enhanced his experiences as a music supervisor and music creative. After taking the UCLA Music Supervision class, Eric quickly found a job pitching artists for Heavy Hitters Music Group. He guided artists and songwriters in their songwriting process and helped get placements on ABC, CBS, MTV, and Fox Sports. From this jumping off point, he has worked in both the video game and advertising/marketing industries over the past 8 years.

At Activision Blizzard, he oversaw all in-game and marketing uses of music for video games such as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2,  the Call of Duty franchise, Guitar Hero Live, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Team Racing, and more. Using his large network of industry contacts, Eric has licensed songs from legendary artists such as LL Cool J, Diplo, Metallica, The Chemical Brothers, Notorious B.I.G., Dead Kennedys, Goldfinger, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, over 600 popular songs for Guitar Hero Live, and many more. He has been nominated twice at the Guild of Music Supervisors Awards and won “Best Music Supervision in a Video Game” for his work on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 at the 2021 Guild of Music Supervisors Awards.

In the advertising world, Eric has music produced and music supervised for successful marketing campaigns with Netflix, Ford, Lincoln, Capitol One, Nest, Coach, Miller Lite, Intel, Verizon, Herbal Essences. He even had the intimidating task of vocal directing Samuel L. Jackson for a commercial. Due to Eric’s strong music composition experience and vocabulary, he is a translator for creatives to composers and can fluidly express what a client is looking for when developing creative ideas and music briefs. This knowledge was also helpful when he worked on 15 second TikTok campaigns with Amazon, Warner Brothers, e.l.f. cosmetics, DSW, Armani, Hasbro, Kendra Scott, Tanologist, Bliss, and more.

Additionally, Eric has gone back to where his interest in music supervision began as a part-time instructor for the UCLA Extension Program. He has developed an 11 week program covering the history and procedures of Music Supervision for Film and TV, as well as assignments to mirror the everyday work of a music supervisor. Eric also enjoys speaking in classes, educational panels, and conventions about music supervision, music creation, and tips to succeed in the music industry.
